WAY OUT:DEPRESSION 2

        Someone once said that depression is your mind telling your body it is tired.That simple definition says so much.
Many things make us mentally tired.It can be the loss of a loved one.It might be disappointment, financial problems,stress,etc.The number of causes of depression is almost limitless.When you feel depressed,your world stops working,you can feel stuck,emotionless and empty.Depression hurts so much.Worst of all ,you may believe that no one cares about your feelings.

        Back to the question asked in my last article,how do you know one is depressed?.Here are some signs of clinical depression.
*Feelings of sadness
*Tearfulness
*Emptiness or hopelessness
*Angry outbursts
*Irritability or frustration,even over small matters.
*Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities such as hobbies,sex,or sports
*Difficulty in sleeping.
To mention but a few.

       HOW CAN DEPRESSION BE CURED? Seek help from a clinical psychologist.
There are few tips that can make a depressed feel better,they are:
*GET IN A ROUTINE: If you're depressed, you need a routine .Setting a gentle daily schedule can help you get back on track.
*SET GOALS:When you're depressed, you may feel like you can't accomplish anything.To push back ,set daily goals for yourself. Start very small,make your goal something that you can succeed at,like doing the dishes ,as you start to feel better,you can add more challenging daily goals.
*EXERCISE: You don't need to run marathons to gat a benefit. Just walking a few times can help
*EAT HEALTHY
*GET ENOUGH SLEEP:Depression can make it hard to get enough sleep,but try your best to sleep,avoid distractions in your room,like your phone ,CDs etc.
*TAKE ON RESPONSIBILITIES:You might want to pull back from life and give up responsibilities. DON'T. They give you a sense of accomplishment.
*CHALLENGE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
*DO SOMETHING NEW:Push yourself to do something different,go to the movies,read old books,go on a trip etc.
*TRY TO HAVE FUN.
